Book of Mormon Reading: Alma 54-55

This part of the Nephite-Lamanite war tells of how Captain Moroni presents a tribute of wine to the Lamanite guards. When the guards are all drunken, he, in "profound silence" arms the Nephite prisoners, even (or, should I say, especially) the women and the children, with weapons of war.

This has made me think about our new directive of a home-centered, Church-supported approach to gospel living, learning, and teaching. Arming, if you will, families--men, women, and children--in their own homes, with the spiritual weapons necessary to combat the fiery darts of the adversary and the evils of this generation.
