Pathetic Me

(AP Photo/Patrick Semansky)
I am NOT one to cry about sports.

No, not me.

But knowing the Jimmer era at BYU over makes me cry.

Really.

I feel so pathetic about feeling this way because the very last thing I wanted to do was be a part of this whole Jimmermania craze.

In fact, early in the season I was adamant that it wasn’t going to get to me.

But the guy can P.L.A.Y.

The guy can S.H.O.O.T.

The guy is absolutely A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. to watch.

So today I mourn that I can’t watch Jimmer play tomorrow.

I am so PATHETIC!

  1. It's probably pregnancy hormones. But I was sad, too. ♥

  2. I mostly feel sad for Jackson and Jimmer. I've been part of Jimmermania since he was a freshman. We met him several times during BYU basketball camps, (I even yelled at him when he was officiating Tom's All-Star game there....I know, so unlike me).

When a virtuous, humble priesthood holder makes the cover of Sports Illustrated two weeks in a row and three times for a season...I am happy. Hopefully, we will see more positive, hard-working role models in the future.

    Feeling blessed for the journey!

    Love form Tooele,

  3. Ah Anne, that cracks me up! You yelled at Jimmer? There is a tick mark by your name!!

Darla- Yay for sports! Right? Did those boys drag you into the Jimmermania?? Can't wait for football season. You better have those boys brief you! How are you feeling??

  4. I too was sad - so much so I didn't sleep the night after they lost. If only that foul shot would have dropped. I feel so sorry for them. What an emotional year it has been. I guess I need to look for the positive things that happened during this amazing year of BYU basketball!
