"When filled with God’s love, we can do and see and understand things that we could not otherwise do or see or understand. Filled with His love, we can endure pain, quell fear, forgive freely, avoid contention, renew strength, and bless and help others in ways surprising even to us." -John H. Groberg
Unfortunately, when I am self absorbed, i'm also pretty much blind (as is what I've been ailing from the past few weeks). Blind and poisoned...what a terrible combination! And yet it is such a subtle thing... I think King Benjamin has great counsel with the word REMEMBER (Mosiah 4 & 5)! Just peeling out from this poison myself. And beginning to feel much better! It's really unpleasant to see the ugly that grows inside as I allow myself to go blind as I self-ingest poison. Very thankful for a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who continue hoping and wait for me to REMEMBER.

So true, and you forget your problems so much easier when you are helping someone else get over theirs.
